The Mejuri jewelry brand has been gaining a lot of traction lately and I thought I’d just jump right into their best sellers section and get to work finding dupes in similar styles and materials.
Is Mejuri good quality and do they sell real gold?
They sell fairly priced fine jewelry made from real 14k gold as well as gold vermeil (ver-may). At a glance, their prices are definitely more down-to-earth than many others, but you are still paying a premium for their social media marketing and their brand aesthetic. The quality of their items seems to vary. If you check out the 1-star reviews on Mejuri’s website, a lot of people complain that their earrings tarnished even though they are using a “thick plating”. However, all silver needs extra care and needs to be polished to keep it’s shine.
I filtered their website for the best sellers and have dug around to find some great Mejuri alternatives. Please note that the prices do fluctuate as of writing this article, however I did try my best to ensure all of the dupes cost less than the originals!
Side note: Gold fill holds up much better than vermeil or gold plating.
These hoops are pretty popular and common among many sellers all over the web. They are usually hollow tubes and very lightweight. I personally bought a pair from LooptyHoops in a smaller sized 20mm diameter and 1.5mm width and I sleep with them on. They’re a little difficult to put on, but they don’t snag on anything because of their closure.

These hoops were hard to find a perfect dupe of. The open cuff and hoop with the post back style is rather common, however the dimensions of the Mejuri earring make it more unusual. I searched for flattened hoops, unfortunately I couldn’t find a perfect 1:1 match.

These hinged huggie hoops are a very comfortable style that you will be able to sleep in. I believe the Mejuri pricing is decent, but still, I managed to find some cheaper dupes. I’m not entirely sure the width of the cuff for the Mejuri ones, but eyeballing the photos it looks like it’s about 3mm. I think the gold-filled option here is a great deal if you want to try the style out. These croissant dome style earrings are very trendy and popular right now. As it stands, there are a lot of places to get them and I think I found a lot of great affordable alternatives on Aliexpress and Etsy.
